Bringing a Gundam Model Back to Life
One of the highlights of the event was when a guest came with a Gundam Phenex model that had a broken metal piece, which made it impossible to show the model in its full glory.
At the event, the Xhorse3D team created a new metal piece using the Xmachine XM-100 on the spot. The entire process, from CAD modeling to toolpath making, and the 5-axis machining operation was carried out in a flash, and the new part was put in place immediately to restore the model for public display.
For model builders, a desktop 5-axis milling machine like the Xmachine is more than just a tool for repairs. It opens new avenues for making custom parts, performing complex alterations, and creating exclusive designs that would otherwise be almost impossible to create.

Some visitors turned drawings of weapons used in video games into real cosplay props. Others used the Xscanner to digitize collectible toys before creating them with the help of the Xmachine, thus showing an entire workflow from a virtual character to a real object.
Thanks to its intuitive design and low threshold of entering, with Xmachine anyone can use desktop 5-axis milling, regardless of prior experience. Thus, both students who step into the world of CNC machining for the first time and experienced hobbyists could enjoy the software, see the machining in progress, and get the finished parts from metal or resin.
